What is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the phrase 'congregational stewardship'?
Is it...
Budgets and spreadsheets?
Tithing '10%' of your income to your community of faith?
Giving a weekly, or monthly offering, or donation to your community of faith?
Pledging money through a pledge campaign?
Or, what about having a deep sense of love for your community of faith through offering your Time, your Talent, and your Treasure?
As a congregation of the ELCA, we believe congregational stewardship is about so much more than just giving lots of money to your community of faith--congregational stewardship is about loving your community of faith enough to see it thrive for generations to come, and beyond.
As a congregation of the ELCA, we believe maintaining a healthy congregational stewardship through ones Time, Talent, and Treasure is vital to maintaining a strong and vibrant congregation.
Question: Must you do all three?
Answer: No. Some people have Time to give...Some people have Talents to share... and some people have Treasures to offer... and some people do all three.
Healthy congregational stewardship is built upon a deep love for one's community of faith by offering ones Time, Talent, and Treasure to enhance the vitality of the congregation and the greater church both regionally and nationally.
